Cargo

FedEx, UPS, USPS, Amazon, do make money by delivering packages. They lose money while traveling from the railhead or airport to the neighborhood. JPods networks provide the Middle Mile™ moving cargo from warehouses to neighborhoods. This will allow cargo to be packetized for urban delivery just as ships/railroads use containers between cities.

Moving neighborhood containers enables many last-mile solutions:

Bulk handling of cargo is very wasteful.

JPods containerize urban freight for middle mile transport between railhead and neighborhoods. This will allow much more freight to move by rail, with its 470 ton-mpg efficiencies

In 2023 urban cargo is repeatedly loaded and unloaded until the final delivery truck makes multiple stops to partially unload itself at each delivery.

With JPods, as containers are emptied, cargo is put into a CargoPod that can immediately be dispatched to the local destination.

JPods will do for urban cargo what McLean did for ships and railroads.
